Trooper Ale derives its name from Iron Maidens 9th single release, the classic heavy metal anthem the Trooper, written by bassist Stephen Harris, from the album Piece of Mind. Since its release in 1983 the song has ben an instant hit with fans all over the world. The song is also an integral part of the band’s live concerts and performances.

Iron Maiden’s Trooper Ale is a genuine English Ale developed at Robinsons Brewery in Cheshire together with Iron Maiden front man Bruce Dickinson. ­– I am a lifelong fan of traditional English ale; I thought I’d died and gone to heaven when I was asked to create our own beer, says Bruce.

Trooper Ale has been an instant success on markets all over the world since its launch in may 2013. The fans of Iron Maiden managed to get Trooper Ale from the ordering assortment of the Swedish monopoly to a nationwide presence in all Systembolaget monopoly stores – in record time.
